Statement
My work unfolds at the intersection of collage, photography and abstraction, where layers of imagery and texture converge to evoke mythic narratives centering the natural world and animistic encounters. Drawing inspiration from female surrealists, I explore the interplay between the subjective experience of women and the elemental forces of nature, weaving together fragments that speak to the subconscious and the symbolic.
Using mixed media, my process balances chance and intention. I embrace aleatoric methods and chance-based prompts, allowing unexpected juxtapositions to emerge while guiding the composition toward a coherent expression. This relationship between control and spontaneity mirrors the fluidity of myth itself—ever-shifting, rich with possibility.
Through my work, I invite viewers to enter a realm where the familiar intertwines with the fantastical, illuminating the enduring power of mythic imagery as a lens for understanding our connection to the natural world.
